公司註冊成立後，可通過特別決議，更改公司的名稱，並於特別決議通過後15天內，向公司註冊處處長提交「更改公司名稱通知書」(表格NC2)。公司更改名稱證書發出之日，即公司更改名稱生效的日期。請注意，更改名稱的特別決議無需提交公司註冊處。在擬備表格NC2時，請參閱註冊成立本地有限公司或更改公司名稱注意事項

因有限公司不能與其他公司同名,你可事先透過互聯網在公司註冊處的網上查冊中心或到香港金鐘道66號金鐘道政府合署13樓公眾查冊中心，免費查閱公司名稱。

回應:"但係如果間公司已經有過交易呢, 會計程序方面需唔需要更改或清除, 即取消所有關於舊公司既資料.... "笞案是不需要的.因為雖然公司改了名,但它並不是一間新的公司,以前公司的債權與債務都會由改名後的公司承接番.

The company can changed its name provided that the name is registrable with the Companies Registry ( CR ) . You can go to the web-site of the CR to check for the registrability of the name. If it is OK, a resolution of meeting of members must be passed and filed with the CR. If OK, A change of Name Certificate will then be issued by CR when you can change the name of your Business Registration Certificate immediately.
You can go to CR for details or seek external help with your practising accountant.
