因為 Tom 係 singular, 係指一個人﹐所以要加 s 係後面。
例如: he, she, it, or 人名 都係指一個人 ﹐ 所以 都要加 s.

只要唔係個體﹐就唔洗加﹐ 例如: they, the children, my friends. <-- 呢D全部都係多過一個人﹐ 所以唔洗加

如果個subject係單數，就要加s
如果係雙數就唔需要加任何字

例如：
She runs up the hill every day<--- subject(she)係單數，所以verb(runs)要加s
We eat together during lunch<-----subject(we)係雙數，所以verb(eat)唔需要加s

Tom係第三身,所以要係動詞後+s(need>needs)

因為He,She,It後面的動詞要加s,但如果He,She,It後面的動詞最後是ss,o,x,e的話,便要加ES.

Tom need a new haircut. He go to a hair salon.
咁樣唔得!

Tom is 第三身。

so need要加s,go又要變goes.
