婚姻誓詞(中英文版)

行禮當天，一對新人必須提前15分鐘到達會場．

當新人、主婚人及親友們入座後，婚姻註冊官便會入場主持婚禮．註冊官會首先向新人宣讀以下一段話：“在你們兩位結為夫婦之前，本人在職責上要向你們聲明，在本婚姻註冊處舉行的婚禮，乃是莊嚴而有約束力的婚禮，在法律上是一男一女自願終身結合，不容別人介入，因此，現在你們在本人之前當眾舉行婚禮，雖然沒有宗教儀式舉行，但你們在本人及在場眾人之前簽名為證後，便成為一對合法夫妻．”

新人須接著向在場人士讀出一段結婚誓詞：
新郎："我請在場各人見證，我 (新郎姓名) 願以娶你 (新娘姓名) 為我合法妻子．"
新娘："我請在場各人見證，我 (新娘姓名) 願以嫁你 (新郎姓名) 為我合法丈夫．"

新人交換戒指後，雙方家長或證婚人及新郎新娘均會在結婚證書上簽署．禮成後，註冊官會把證書交給新郎及新娘，此時一對新人便成為合法夫妻，受到法律保障．


英文版誓詞 (wedding declaration):

Groom: "I call upon all persons here present to witness that I (name of Groom) do take thee (name of Bride) to be my lawful wedded wife."

Bride: "I call upon all persons here present to witness that I (name of Bride) do take thee (name of Groom) to be my lawful wedded husband."
