現在我在Chapter 1的1.2 Estimation In Measurements and 1.4 Approximation And Errors
The question on page27
3. Find the length of the pencil in the following figure, correct to the nearst
(a)cm. (b) 0.5cm (c) 0.1cm
If the answer is 3.8 (a)4 (b)4 (c)3.8 or not?
Page 50 Correct to the 3 significant figures
2.(i)(i) 0.04999
= Is that 0.05 or 0.0500 and why?

b. 4
c. 3.8
2. 係0.0500 (3 sign. figure)
首先首兩個 0 並不是有效數字
round to 3 sign figure 係要有三個位
如果round to 3 sign figure, 0.05 和 0.0500 是有分別的
前者是exactly = 0.05, 而後者的 0.0500 並不是exactly = 0.05, 只是因為round off的問題而寫成0.05，實際是與0.05有出入的
