Almost half the world’s population now live in urban areas and, as cities grow even
Larger, conditions for city dwellers are likely to get worse. Two of these most critical problems are energy crisis which has been around for centuries and different pollutions that are destroying the whole planet.

We human have been developing exponentially within the last few centuries and the consuming of all the natural resource such as coals, natural gas, gasoline which provided the fundamental elements for this development have been abused by all the big cities and is reaching a crucial level. Life in a city relies heavily on energies and these energies are limited, these treasures which buried underground millions year ago will not last forever and the seeking of alternative energy supplies is called by someone who foreseen this potential problem. In fact, different approaches have been carried out in many laboratories such as to convert solar energy into heat and electrical energy, turn the motion energy of the ocean current into storable electrical energy, and the increasing of nuclear reactors around the world. There are tens of different unlimited resources around us and it is time to spend some time on them rather than keep digging the ground.

The second problem about the rise of larger cities is the pollution caused by them. Different types of pollution have been produced by a variety activities occurring in those big cities. For example, the burning of distinct refineries like propane, methane, and gasoline in cars’ engines and factories caused serious air pollution in a level that is endangering everyone. Irresponsible companies are dumping toxic disposal into the ocean killing many different species which could be our food source is in the form of water pollution. These two are just an examples of a dozen different pollutions and we can see that immediate response is needed in action. The regulation of treating harmful waste from industries should be strengthen or even a better version should take into consideration and recycling reusable materials should not only suggest people what to do but indeed it should become a law.
