[F. 3 Maths] Linear Equations in Two Unknowns (一題20分)

If 187 apples are shared among x children, each child has y apples. If 36 oranges are shared among the same number of children, 2 oranges will be left. Find the values of x and y.

Please show your working steps clearly.

首先要set 2條式:
187/x=y ---(1) 因為佢187個蘋果分比x個小朋友,而每個小朋友都有y個
xa+2=36 ---(2) 因為佢話36個橙比同樣數目的小朋友分左,而會剩下2個(所以34個橙比x
個小朋友平均分左(p.s 但係唔可以就咁用e2條式,就去計,因為咁考試會        扣,所以要set多2條式)(let a be the no. of apples that the children can
get)
xy=187 ---(3) e條式係跟據第1條式,而去轉變成咁(係用簡單的代數方法--天秤)
xa=34 ---(4) e條式係跟據第2條式,而去轉變成咁(係用簡單的代數方法--天秤)


之後你用estimate個method尼計(搵個H.C.F)

equation: xy=187 xz+2=36 let z be the number of oranges the children can get
xy=187 xz=34

find the H.C.F. of 187 and 34 = 17
so 17 is the number of the children and then you can find out how many apples and oranges each children can have.

i dont know is there any equations or methods to sort out this linear equation, so i just use my knowledge to do it. hope that will help you

First, make two equations
187/x=y equation1
36/x=2 equation2

so that
187/17=11
36/17=2

x=17, y=11

187個apple分比x個children,咁先分解左187
187=11×17(因為係分晒左d蘋果,所以只有e個可能性)
但因為36個oranges,分剩2個,所以只得17人先得
