defeat 點解??

小妹妹, 其實一D都唔矛盾, 造成混亂是因為你嘗試從太深的句子中學習, 而你又不明白 Doom to 的用法.
Verb Example: I will defeat you. 我會 戰勝/擊敗 你.
Verb Example in Passive Form: You will be defeated by me. 你會被我 擊敗 .

Noun Example: Meeting me will be the biggest defeat in your life. 遇上我 將會是你一生 最大的 挫敗.

小妹妹的Noun Example: The aggressors were doomed to defeat. 侵略者注定要失敗.
Doom to 後面的那個其實是 noun. 我們可試用其他字代替 defeat:

The aggressors were doomed to FAILURE. 侵略者注定要失敗.
The aggressors were doomed to DEATH. 侵略者注定要死亡.
Doom to 的後面一定要用 noun.

defeat 為名詞（n.）指失敗
例如：The defeat of B was brought by A = 乙的失敗由甲造成，所以甲勝！
defeat 為動詞（v.）指去打敗、戰勝，
例如：A defeats B = 甲打敗乙，所以甲勝！

有多矛盾？失敗和擊敗也是同一性質，況且其實一字有很多解釋，這也不出奇，但從該字一看，其實意思也相同，擊敗，即是被人打敗，也即是失敗！
