除某類受豁免的人仕之外，如果你計劃到新西蘭長期逗留、升學或定居，你將需要申請簽證。


香港護照持有人免簽證

由一九九八年十月起，香港特區護照及英國國民(海外)護照持有人均可免簽證在新西蘭短期逗留至最多三個月。

但是，你必須

持有回程或往其他國家的機票，同時有權入境；

證明你有足够的現金、旅行支票、可與你銀行戶口並用的visa或mastercard信用卡逗留新西蘭(每月最少一千元紐幣)；

持有在離開新西蘭後三個月內不會到期的護照；

遵照你在到步時被批准的逗留期，不要過期逗留。
假如你計劃在新西蘭逗留多過三個月，你將必須申請旅遊簽證
