Taking a puff of a cigarette after having meal sounds fantastic to the smokers.

請問這句係未用了past particple?
可唔可以幫我折番做2句定3句sentences?
仲有請比些類似這的句子我好嗎?

✔ 最佳答案
冇用past participle

一般黎講寫"taking a puff"已經知道係食煙..唔需要再加" of a cirarette"
其實呢句最簡單幾寫法可以係:
"Taking a puff after a meal sounds great to the smokers."
就可以了.

我覺得冇必要折做2-3句因為只會令個意思複習化

其他唔同既例...
- Eat an apple a day sounds like a good way to keep us healthy.

1. Smokers finish the meals. [when]
2. The smokers take a puff of cigarette. [activity]
3. This sounds fantastic to the smokers. [main idea]
因為想將 3. 裡面嘅 this 再長盡解釋一下就將 1. 同 2. 放落去。
Taking a puff of a cigarette after a meal 就系 this,所以 sound 要 +s。
煙民對 [呢項活動] 感到很不錯。[呢項活動] 就系 take a puff of cigarette 加 -ing 响動詞變成動名詞(活動)而成。
after a meal 就以 after 介詞介紹了時間( when )在片語中。

[Taking a puff of a cigarette / after having a meal ] / sound fantastic to the smokers.

[Making a lot of money / at 30s] / is everybody's dream.
[ 賺很多錢 / 於三十來歲 ] 是很多人的梦想
[Swearing / in the public] is not a wise thing to do.
[ 講粗口 / 於公衆場合 ] 實屬不智

冇用到past particple因為係繼續性的
其實冇必要折番做2句。

句子
Drinking water after a good amount of running sounds fantastic to the runners

No, it is a gerund.

(Taking a puff of cigarette) = subject, gerund.
(after having a meal) = adverb phase, modify subject (taking a puff of cigarette)
(sounds) = verb, vi
(fantastic) = adjective, qualify subject (taking a puff of cigarette)
(to the smoker) = adverb phase, modify (fantastic).

An example of past participle:-

Took a puff of cigarette, the smoker enjoys after having the meal.

(Took a puff of cigarette) = past participle, qualify subject (the smoker)
(the smoker) = subject
(enjoys) = verb, vi
(after having the meal) = adverb phase, modify verb (enjoys)

The difference:-
1. past participle must uses "past tense". "Took" is past tense, and "taking is present continuous tense".
2. past participle is used as adjective; therefore, there must be a noun, or subject, for it to be qualified. There is no subject for the verb "sounds" in your sentence, therefore, "taking a puff of cigarette" is used as a subject, gerund. For my example, the verb "enjoys" has a subject "the smoker", so "took a puff of cigarette" is used as a past participle to qualify the subject "the smoker".
3. the key to analyzing english sentence is first to look for verbs, then subject, because every verb must have a subject in front, in order for the sentence to be complete.

hope it helps.
