fond of 用法一問

Yes, you can use "I am fond of drawing". "font" is an adjective while "like" is a verb. The meaing is very similar, and I did read that in some magazine articles (of course not as popular as use "like"). Depend on the paragraph that you are writing, using "fond of" is not necessiarly 唔自然. Hope this can help you.

I am very fond of drawing (I like drawing)
I am very fond of playing tennis (I like to play tennis)
上二句的 drawing 及 tennis, 你用like 或 fond of都可以, 但fond of 較強調一些.

但你不可以說:Mary is very fond of smiling. (聽者以為Mary是白痴!)
你只可說: Mary likes to smile (very much).
