Minnesota 是明尼蘇達州, Minneapolis 只是明尼蘇達州內的一個城市。Scotland 是蘇格蘭。Scott 是人名。

當然，亦有人以Scott簡稱Scottish。例:He is a Scott.但這不是正宗英語，像人叫日本人Japs 一樣。
