Here is what you should do before you start to write an esssay. First of all, think of what you want to write about, something you are interested in or something the public are concerned about. Next, form a topic for your essay. After that, go on to think about the introduction and also the paragraphs. On the one hand you should state facts or ideas in support of your argument, but on the other hand you may also state opposite ideas and then explain why these are wrong.
Furthermore, bear in mind that each paragraph should contain only one point. Don't put everything in one paragraph; after all, you don't like your readers to get confused as a result, do you? Moreover, it would be much easier for you when you write. Last but not least, plan your conclusion well. This is very important to an essay and therefore spend more time on it. Don't end your essay too hastily.

除了first of all 和 last but not least 大部分情況是放在文章或段落的最前和最後之外, 其他的都沒有一定次序或位置, 只要文章是通順, 讀來自然、流暢、有理便可。其實, 如果你語法良好, 寫作時有條不紊, 是不需經常用上 moreover、therefore 或 consequently 這些字, 這樣反而會令文章累贅, 適當運用就可以了。
