HSBC 戶口

明智理財應該係一個綜合理財戶口,內裡已包投資戶口,

若要買賣證券,你可經網上理財或電話進行,但要注意支帳戶口有無錢(因開立證券戶口時一般已選定支帳戶口)不過兩種方法所收的手續費是不一樣,當然網上買賣會平的.

另外明智理財戶口最低存款雖然要$10000,但你名下戶口若有$10000就可以,不一定要放係明智理財戶口內.

注意若明智理財屬聯名,就只計算其他相同聯名戶口的資產,若唔夠錢就要收手續費.

when you purchase the securities, they will ask you which account you wanna deduct the money from (e.g. savings, checking, etc)

you can process the securities trading via online banking, phonebanking or at the branch
online banking and phonebanking which the commission is 0.25% and min. HKD100
and if you process thru the branch, seems that's 0.5% and min HKD100 ( not too sure on the branch charges, if you need to process thru branch, please check again on the commission)

as for the Investment Account (no matter that's under the SmartSavings or just a standalone Investment Account), it doesn't hold any money, that just only hold the stocks/securities itself, so meaning, you cannot put money into the Investment Account

SmartSaving need to maintain HKD10,000 or above to avoid the Below Balance Fee apply. But the HKD10,000 is the Total Relationship Balance, meaning, the total assets of yours in HSBC (ALL your accounts in HSBC), including the MPF (if you have any with them) and also the investment accounts market value as well.

If you have a SmartSaving account, actually you don't need to have another standalone Investment account, you just need one, and if you use both investment accounts, and when they come to charge you on the Custodian Fee, which they charge you every half year on the investment account you've been using, and on those you don't, they won't charge), so better not to split your securities into both accounts and better to keep it in one, unless necessary to split for any reason
