One of my friend who working at a hotel, one day he received a call from a lady she said she felt sick after having dinner buffet at the hotel, then the lady faxed a hospital doctor certificate to him was specific the lady got " 腸胃炎 cause she had dinner buffet in a hotel"and ask for something unreasonable. I really suprise is this a professional behaviour from a hospital / doctor, seek for professional advice.
PS The lady is working at St.Teresa hospital

The lady ask for 8 person of dinner buffet for compensation, the question is very easy to understand, I just query the doctor's behaviour, may be the doctor is friend of the lady cause the lady is a nurse

Don't understand what you were asking. Please elaborate what she asked and how unreasonable it is.

There is no prove the腸胃炎 is related to the buffet. It can be caused by other reasons. If it is really caused by the dinner buffet, that lady will call policy and/or 衛生署。 If she got 食物中毒, that is another issue la. I don’t think a doctor will write “this patient got 腸胃炎 because she had dinner buffet in a xxx hotel”. The PR Dept knows how to handle. If your friend is the head of the PR Dept, he can reply to this lady with the following message.

1.hotel food and kitchen are hygiene and provide excellent food for customers.
2.there is no prove that the 腸胃炎 is related to hotel buffet.
3.If she can provide substantial evidence, the hotel will start the investigation.
4.hope she get well soon and welcome her to enjoy hotel buffet again (need to pay money).
