PRO 來自拉丁文，意思是支持。Cons 是 CONTRA 的簡寫，意思係反對。也是源自拉丁文。pros and cons 等如英文的 FOR AND AGAINST 支持和反對， ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES 優點和缺點。
其實英文很多字都來自外文，如拉丁文，德文，法文，印度語等。
For example:
1.'List the pros and cons of this plan.'
The meaning is that you're required to list out the benefits/advantages as well as the drawbacks/disadvantages of the plan.
2.Let's add up the pros and cons.
咱們把正反兩方面的意見總結一下吧。
其實多數都係用意正反2面既意見比較同總結
or用係essay既開頭.
