F.4 AMATH --DIFF.
THE POINT P(a,a) IS ON THE CURVE 3x^2-xy-y^2-a^2=0, where a is a non zero constamnt.
a)find the value of dy/dx at the point P.
b)find the equation of the tangent to the curve at P.
回答 (2)
3(x^2)-xy-(y^2)-(a^2)=0
by differentiating the equation
6x-y-x(dy/dx)-2y(dy/dx)=0
(dy/dx) = (6x-y)/(2y+x)
(dy/dx) at P = 5a / 3a = 5 / 3
