28) Two buckets of the same capacity are filled with flour and sugar. The ratio of flour to sugar in the two buckets are 3 : 1 and 5 : 1 respectively. A baker pours the flour and sugar in the two buckets into one large container. Find the ratio of flour to sugar in the large container.

Let the two buckets are of 24 cubic unit volume.
Then, in the first bucket, there is 24*3/(3+1)=18 cubic unit of flour. And there is 24*1/4=6 cubic unit of sugar.
For another bucket, there is 24*5/(5+1)=20 cubic unit of flour and 24*1/6 = 4 cubic unit of sugar.
After mixing up in the large container, there is 38 cubic unit of flour and 10 cubic unit of sugar. So,
ratio of flour to sugar = 38:10=19:5
