Well, there is no interpretater in the world, but interpreter.

In terms of job natures of two jobs, the main differnece is the context of translation. Translator usually work on written work whereas interpreter work on audio one.

Translator can translate essays word by word from one language to another language without adding any personal interpretation.

Interpreter will kind of translate what they hear into word or speech by considering all communication devices in a discourse including the tone of interlocutor, context of conversation, and minimal responses (like 'uh', 'well', 'huh)' being used.

Maybe you can reckon interpretation as translation and comprehension.
