天蠍座的神話
　　在希臘神話中，打獵高手歐利安雖然擁有過人的技藝，卻非常不得人緣，那是因為歐利安實在太自大了，根本不把別人放在眼裡！而且歐利安還經常誇口說：「我歐利安實在是這個世界上最厲害的人，沒有人可以敵得過我，就連天神也不例外！」

　　這句話傳到了奧林匹斯山，讓天后希拉非常的不滿！希拉決定要好好的教訓歐利安！於是，希拉就從陰暗的地底之下，把惡毒的蠍子召喚出來，準備讓這隻蠍子去對付歐利安。

　　這隻蠍子找到了歐利安，就利用一次打獵的機會，趁歐利昂不注意的時候，螫傷歐利安、把他給毒死了。眾神為獎勵這隻蠍子，就決定把牠升上天空與群星並列，這就是天蠍座的由來。
