I intend to buy a IBM thinkpad notebook. My friend told me that thinkpad is made by Lenovo. Anyone can help to clarify whether thinkpad is IBM or Lenovo.

Well Thinkpad is now by Lenovo as it is being acquired from IBM in May 2005.So they are now Lenovo's products.

It still says IBM Thinkpad on the cover of the machine but you can see the word Lenovo right besides the model (e.g. X60). Not sure if the word "IBM" will be taken out for the new series though (e.g. X61)
