Scales:
Major and minor scales (both melodic and harmonic) in similar motion:legato (4 octaves)
Major scales:staccato (4 octaves)
Major and harmonic minor scales in contrary motion:legato (2 octaves)
Major scales in thirds:staccato (2 octaves)
Chromatic scales in similar motion (4 octaves)
Chromatic scales in contrary motion (2 octaves)
Arpeggios of major and minor common chords in root position (4 octaves)
Arpeggios of the diminished seventh chord (3 octaves)

Aural:
Sing or play from memory the upper part of a two-part phrase
Sing a short melody from score,with an accompaniment played by the examiner
Identify the cadence at the end of a phrase(perfect/imperfect)
Answer questions on the features of a piece(form,texture,phrase structure,style,period,tonality,etc.),clap the rhythm of a short extract

exam pieces list A,B,C各一首scales全部都要背aural(見上)sight-reading即場睇譜彈考試費$1100,但係個考試20分鐘都唔駛就考完

每個list有6首歌,而abrsm出果本exam pieces只係會印3首,
其他3首要去第2d書度搵
你只要每個list揀一首就ok(即係每個list 6揀1呀)

講真要考琴試要練好多野架！唔係你想象中咁簡單。

因為每個級數都有佢指定的歌曲，不是你鐘意彈邊首歌就彈邊首。每隔兩年英國皇家音樂學院每個級數都會出唔同的歌曲的書，每級有分a、b、c part，每part入面有3首歌，你要在a、b、c part入面各選一首歌，考試時即是要彈3首歌，同埋唔址要彈歌，仲要考其它野。

各級要考的：
scales和arpeggios（考官會要求你彈major、minor的scales及arpeggios難度視附級數而定。）

sight-reading（考官會給你一份曲譜，你大約有30秒時間看，然後把這首歌彈出來）

traditional song（考官會彈一少段樂曲兩次，然後你再把這首樂曲唱出來，而要考6級以上的，不止要考這個，考官會把一份曲譜級你，你可以選唱高音部或低音部份，如選唱高音部，而考官只會彈低音部。）

aural tests（考官會彈一首樂曲兩次，然後你要用英文及意大利文的名詞回答，不過如果你英文唔得，可以加錢請翻譯的。多數會問這首歌是什麼風格，有沒有大細聲，有什麼改變，而考6級以上的會問更多問題，如：這首歌是什麼時期的作品，作曲家名稱，有沒有轉調，什麼調轉到什麼調等等）
