1(a) $200 x 22.5% x12
= $540

(b) ﹝$200 - ($200 x 22.5%) - ($200 x 40%)﹞x 6
= ($200 - $45 - $80) x6
= $450

1A) $200*22.5%=45
so he spend 45 dollars on stationery

1B) $200*40%=80( he spend on books every month)
$200*6=1200( TOTAL of 6 months pocket money )
(80+45)*6= 750(TOTAL of 6 months he spend on stationery& books)
1200-750=450(ANS of 1B )

1a) The money spent on stationery every month:

$ 200 x 22.5% = $45

Hence the money spent on it annually:

$ 45 x 12 = $ 540

b) The money spent on books every month:

$200 x 40% = $80

The total money he spends every month: $ 80 + $ 45 = $ 125

Then the money he saves per month: $ 200 - $ 125 = $ 75

The amount he has to put after 6 months:

$ 75 x 6 = $ 450

Sorry for some typing errors: it should be the amount he has put after 6 months, but not the amount he has to put after 6 months
