Solid carbon dioxide is called (dry ice) because:
-The temperature of the carbon dioxide in solid form is below 78.5 °C, that is, as cold as (ice);
-the solid carbon dioxide sublimes (from solid state direct to gas state) without becoming the liquid state (wet), and is considered to be (dry).
Thus, it is called (dry ice).

that why solid carbon dioxide is called dry ice!!!!
