Hi, there. (1) If I were you, I would choose B. As you know, trains in UK almost start centrally from London, meaning you will find easier to a catch train from London going directly to your location, rather than interchanging amongst different spots. Say, you start from Cambridge to Oxford, probably you have to go back to London (Paddington Station) to get on the train to Oxford. Salisbury to Brighton, I think there's no direct train between these two spots. Why Canterbury to Windsor, Windsor Castle is near to Oxford, or Reading. Why are you not visiting the Castle while you are still in Oxford???
Seem to me that you are planning a round trip back to London in Proposal B, right? Get more info and plan better, or you will end up in long hours of travelling in trains.
(2)I bought a Rail Pass when my travelling around in UK. Four days or ten days will be fine. The price is really very very cheap when buying from HK. If travelling in London by tube or bus, you can buy a one day travel card here.
(3)& (5)Regarding accommodation, I am renting out rooms to uni students at the moment. If you are interested, I've still got a double room and a single room to rent. I live near London, travelling to London King's Cross is about half an hour.
(4)Yes, I can give you more advice on travelling if you need it. I wonder if we can communicate via email.
(6)dress up to show your respect to the ocassion.
Hope you have an enjoyable visit to UK.
