Black Steel Iron Pipe is used for chilled water pipe
Galvanised iron pipe to BS1387 medium grade below 200mm diameter and Ductile Iron pipe to BS EN 545 of 200mm diameter and above is used for sprinkler water system.

DI pipe = 球墨鑄鐵管 for cold water or flushing water upfeed pipe or drain pipe
GI pipe = 鍍鋅鋼管(俗稱鉛水喉) for sprinkler water pipe and drain pipe, not for cold water use
Upvc pipe = 低塑性聚乙烯管(俗稱膠喉) for flushing water pipe and drain pipe
