Let 24 units be the capacity of each bucketA bucket:
Flour : Sugar
= 3 : 1
= 3 x 6 : 1 x 6
= 18 : 6
B bucket:
Flour : Sugar
= 5 : 1
= 5 x 4 : 1 x 4
= 20 : 4
Therefore, the total units of flour
= 18 + 20
= 38 units
The total units of sugar
= 6 + 4
= 10 units
Ratio of flour to sugar in the large container.
= 38 : 10
= 38 / 2 : 10 / 2
= 19 : 5
