check my grammar pls 2

I tried hard to adjust the set because I (wanted) to see who
turned (out) to be (the) murderer, but the set was out of order and
the picture was too bad that i finally had to give up, turn off
the set and go to bed at nine, much (earlier) than usual.

I tried hard to adjust the set because I wanna see who turned out to be their murderer.
