To the naked eye, Saturn looks like a bright orange star.

Each ring is composed of small ice particles, mixed with dust and rock fragments.

Saturn has been known since prehistoric times but Galileo Galilei was the first person to see Saturn with a telescope and discovered its rings in 1610,

Saturn has 60 confirmed moons but only 18 of them are named. They are Pan, Atlas, Prometheus, Pandora, Epimethus, Janus, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Telesto, Calypso, Dione, Helene, Rhea, Titan, Hyperion, Iapetus and Phoebe (listed according to their distance from the centre of the planet.)
