1. Determin the time required for an amount of money to treble if it is deposited in a bank at a simple rate of 10%p.a.


2.If Q exceeds P by 50% and R exceeds Q by 50%,find P:R

Q1 : R : 10%
Let P be 10 ( 呢個係可以隨便假設)
so A : 30 (因為triple)
let time be T


PTR = A
10 * T * 10% = 30
10 T = 300
T = 30 #


請問Q2 入面個Q 係指咩??

between 10 and 10 there is a plus sign!( i don't know the sign didn't exist)i mean what is the letter Q represent in the question

1. As it is using a simple rate, not compound rate,
Number of years = 2/10% = 20 years

2. Q = 1.5P
R = 1.5Q
Hence,
R=1.5 (1.5P)
= 2.25P

P:R = 1/2.25
= 0.4444
