Let x be the original number of glass beads,x - (1/2) x - (1/6) x - (1/7) x = 16
(1 - 1/2 - 1/6 - 1/7) x = 16
(42/42 - 21/42 - 7/42 - 6/42) x = 16
(8/42) x = 16
x = 84
The original number of glass beads is 84
