1. Last year, the marked price and the selling price of a camera were $7200 and $6120. But this year the marked price and the selling price are $6400 and $5600. In comparing the discount % of these two years, which one is larger?

2. A cat and a dog are not satisfied with their weights. If the weight of the cat is increased by 20% while that of the dog is decreased by 10%, their weights will be the same. What percentage of dog's original weight is cat's original weight?

1. Last year's discount = (7200 - 6120) / 7200 = 1080/7200 = 15%
This year's discount = (6400-5600)/6400 = 12.5%
Therefore, last year's discount is larger.

2. Let x be the original weight of the dog. Let y% be the required percentage.
Then the original weight of the cat = x*y%
x*y%*(1+20%) = x*(1-10%)
1.2y% = 0.9
y% = 0.9/1.2 = 0.75
y = 75
Therefore, cat's original weight is 75% of dog's original weight.
