As a Inspector, he/she needs to work outdoor (in factory) frequency.
If you are working in a 3rd party inspection company, we can learn a lot of skill for handling different kind of customer and vendor.
If you are working for some buying office or trading agent, the scope would be narrower but will have deeper understanding for the merchandising system and operation, as well as the close relationship with factory/vendor.
For the career path, normally:
Inspector --> Senior Inspector --> Inspection Supervisor --> QC Supervisor --> QC Manager --> QC Director
Please be noted that it is a little bit different between QA and QC.
Finally, try to enjoy the training as a inspector and experience the challaging work environment. THe most important thing shall be the communication skill and report writing skill.
