Both 同 both of 有乜分別?

1.Both restaurants are very good.的both是形容詞，意思是”兩個都”的意思，如：
Both his eyes were severely burned.
他的雙眼都嚴重燒傷了。

2.Both of these restaurants are very good. 的both是代名詞，意思也是”兩者都”，”兩個都”
如：Both of them are not fools.
你的兩句示句意沒有分別，只不過一個用both作為形容詞，一個作為代名詞。

1) there are just two restaurants and u think two of them are very good.
2) there are many restaurants, however u think two of many of them are very good.
* sometimes, after 'both', u dun need pronouns.
eg. both are very good.
But you need to tell what are u describing before this sentence.
*after 'both of', u need to add 'them', 'us' etc which means after both of u need to add nouns or pronouns.
