1. Solve the following system of equations graphically.
x +3y = 5--(1)
6x +16y = 27--(2)

(1)-->x=5-3y--(3)

Put (3) into (2)

6x+16y=27
6x+16(5-3y)=27
6x+90-48y=27
42y=63
6y=9
y=3/2,,,

put y=3/2 into (1),,
x+3y=5
x+9/2=5
x=1/2//

so y=3/2 and x=1/2//
