While felixwp’s response has a point, I find it contradicting given the current situation.
That response was inspired by the fact that the fx-4100P model back in the 1990s could be hacked to input additional algebraic characters for cheating purposes. Since that incident, almost ALL scientific calculators with dot-matrix displays had been banned, with few exceptions.

But times have changed, and the fact that dot matrix calculators such as the latest incarnation of the fx-3600 (fx-3650P) has been approved by the HKEA to be used in public exams probably means another story. Perhaps this model has been thoroughly tested to ensure no hacking is possible to input additional algebraic characters.

Your fx-350MS is a low-tier model of the non-programmable MS series which was released around the same time as the current fx-3650P/3950P. The electronics, operation and firmware should be around the same, but the MS series (especially the top-tier models such as the 991MS) is notorious in having additional features and libraries which may be disallowed by the HKEA. So your best shot is to call the authorities to check if this model is indeed in the approved calculator list. If yes, then have it sent to be relabelled, but if not, then you will have to get another one, such as the approved fx-3650P.
