Why does my Public page look different from my Private page?
Skins were designed as a way to quickly and easily customize only your weblog frontpage. Your comments page is still controlled by your Look and Feel settings.
To see what other people see, use this address:
http://www.xanga.com /USERNAME (except replace USERNAME with your Xanga name.)
In other words, for your main front PUBLIC page only, Skins overrides, or covers up the Look and Feel settings. However, your private page (the page that you use to add entries, edit, etc) is still controlled by your Look and Feel (
http://www.xanga.co m/claf/) This means, everything, including music and background you put in your Look and Feel may show in your PRIVATE site, but not on your PUBLIC SITE, because you have a skin overriding it.
If you want your other pages to look like your Skin, the best thing to do is change the settings of your Look and Feel to match your Skin theme as closely as possible (use similar colors, background, etc...)
On the other hand, if you decide that you want your WHOLE page to be controlled only by your Look and Feel, simply remove your skin (if you're using premium):

Or delete any special code you added to your Look and Feel page (most people have special code in their header):
http://www.xanga.com /claf/
Once all those extra codes are gone, your Public and Private page should look the same.
