香港的英語是美式還是英式

上面個說得對，我同意香港教及香港人的英文口音較接近美式，因為正式的英國口音真是少聽少見兼難模彷，到你可模彷到別人會說你扮，美國人都這樣看。其實現今香港最常見的是加拿大口音，到處都是加籍老師。老實講，不同國籍的老師只會對聆聽方面造成方便或不便，對學生的口音影響不大，因大部份學生都未必學足講得出老師的口音。

我的經驗告訴我外國人不太介意我們的口音是英是美，只要不太重香港音便可，反而清楚表達和流利應對更重要。至少，從沒有外國人跟我提過英美或其他口音的問題，反而我會問他們為何沒有原居地的口音。

如果你問學哪一個較好，不論讀音和用字串法我都傾向美式，畢竟是世界大趨勢。最近在網上看過一個外國人口痕痕地窒一個英國人，現在哪有人學英式口音。

另一方面，英式英語鄉音較重，特別是英國北部，不及美加英語較中性易聽易明。

在書寫方面都係英式,因為有好多美國字係香港唔常用

when i was still in hk, it was traditional english (england) cus we were a colony. i guess some private schools now hire americans to teach english, therefore it will be american. but majority of public schools are obviously traditional. and responding to one of the replies below, wtf? learn traditional but sound american? there's no such thing, if the school teaches traditional, it will sound traditional. if people cant speak it and end up havin hk pronunciation, thats that. lets say i take what you said, then that means what im using in la is american english but we're using traditional pronunciation? impossible.
