Let x% be the decay factor(a) 8000( 1-x%)^2=5780
(1-x%)^2=0.7225
1-x%=0.85
x=15%
Hence, the decay factor is 15% per year.
(b) Now it worths $5780,
And after 3 years, it worths = $5780(1-15%)^3
= $3,549.6425
