In a dairy factory, a radioactive source is used to monitor the volume of milk in a box.
Which type of nuclear radiation(alpha,beta,gamma) should the radioactive source emit?
Explain your answer.

Ans :beta ,but how can I explain???

Alpha radiation has a low penetrating power, it is not strong enough to pass through the box for the milk. Gamma rays have strong penetrating power and cannot show a significant reading to monitor the volume of milk in the box. Therefore, Beta radiation is suitable as the radioactive soce.
