都係查字典最好。
以下係 merriam websters 網上字典對 steak o既解釋：
1 a : a slice of meat cut from a fleshy part of a beef carcass〔由牛身上切下o既肉排〕 b : a similar slice of a specified meat other than beef <ham steak>〔由其他特定o既肉之上切出o既類似肉排〕 c : a cross-section slice of a large fish <swordfish steak>〔大條o既魚打橫切得出o既肉排〕
2 : ground beef prepared for cooking or for serving in the manner of a steak <hamburger steak> 〔磨碎o既牛肉被整成扒狀煮／食〕
由是可知，就咁講 steak，已經係牛扒之意；但講明 beef steak 亦冇錯。如果講明係乜野肉，則亦可以作為其他肉類o既扒咁用。

steak is represented as 牛排, no need to say beefsteak which is too much in spoken and writen as well.

請問steak呢個字係咪已經代表左‵牛排′架啦?
It depends on where you are, in North America mostly mean 牛排

steak係&#39;牛排;肉排;魚排&#39;, 咁其他排可唔可以用steak
steak is mean a piece of meat, so it can be pork steak豬扒, lamb chop羊扒, ham steak火腿扒, veal steak牛仔扒. Fish steak 魚排 is not very common use, because only large fish such as cod, salmon, tuna, swordfish and mahi mahi ....... can be cut into steak, we call by the fish name then steak, such as tuna steak, salmon steak.....

We don&#39;t use steak on chickens, ducks ,gesse, pigeons and rabbits those small fowls or animals.

steak係唔一定解牛排，其他排也可以用呢個字連接，但因避免混淆，所以每種排都有佢地ge獨特寫法，如下列呢幾種排類，而steak主要係解肉排。



1.豬排=pork chop



2.牛排=beefsteak



3.雞排=chicken chop



4.羊排=mutton chop

進一步解釋：如果只係想話牛排，就用beefsteak；如果想話咩咩牛排，就用 XX steak。

STEAK是专指牛扒,猪扒是PORK CHOP.
所以那是一个专有名词.
