"How about.....?" and "What about....?"

Yes i agree it's hard to explain....
1. You can start a question/request with How About.
e.g. "how about I come over to have dinner tonight?" but can't say this with "what about"

2. What about commonly follows a description of ANOTHER THING. e.g.
"I think the boys are better at playing football"
"What about Jane, who looks just like a boy?"

How about = 怎麼樣
What about= 什麼關於
兩個的分別不大,但在不同的地方也要用不同的詞

How about? = 怎麼樣?

What about? = 怎樣?

its hard to explain the differences in english, so ill try typin chinese.


how about - 不如這/那 是 suggestion (also a question)

what about - 但是 這/那 是 question (not suggestion)
