1) Let the larger number be X, and the smaller number be Y.X-Y=15....(1)
X+Y=49..(2)
From (1),
X=15+Y..(3)
Put (3) into (2),
(15+Y)+Y=49
15+2Y=49
2Y=34
Y=17
Put Y=17 into (3)
X=15+17
=32
2)n*1/5 =27
n=27*5
=135
3)(960000-720000)/720000*100%
=100/3%
4) Let Xbe the years.
15000*X*8%=6000
X=6000/(15000*8%)
X=5
