= 3.8 minutes (corr. to 2 sig. fig.)

= (3x60 + 49) seconds
= 229 seconds
= 230 seconds (corr. to 2 sig. fig.)
2. 19 minutes 15 seconds
= (19 x 60 + 15) seconds
= 1155 seconds
Maximum absolute error
= 5 seconds / 2
= 2.5 seconds
So percentage error
= 2.5 / 1155 x 100%
= 0.216450216 %
= 0.22% (corr. to 2 sig. fig.)
