1. A piece of wire of 5m long is cut into x pieces of 15 cm long and y pieces of 10 cm long. If y≥ x-5, what is the maximum number of pieces of wire of 15 cm long.

3X +2Y =100
Y=(100-3X)/2 ----3
PUT 3 INTO 2
(100-3X)/2 ≥ X-5
100-3X ≥ 2X-10

SO THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PIECES OF WIRE OF 15CM LONG IS 22
