「挑駁李」是不是「桃」加「李」?

好奇怪，有關“桃駁李”這種生果的來歷，在網上的中文資料眾說紛云，計有：

１． 是一種基因改做食物（把李的因子放進桃內）
２． 接枝技術出來的植物
３． 混種交配出來的植物

有關第一項，意味著這是一種新的流行食物．因為基因改造是近年產生出來的技術，那“桃駁李”應該有明確的“出生日期”及“出生地點”。可是又找不到。

第二項，又攪不清楚到底是桃枝接上李樹，還是李枝接上桃樹。

第三項，混種的過程又攪不清楚。

還有，網上流傳桃駁李的英文名稱是Netcanne：

，可是用英文搜尋器尋找Netcanne的條文，出來的結果卻少得可憐（Yahoo和Google都只有2~3條），莫非這“桃駁李”的來歷真是如此神秘，是商業秘密？

幸好，有些資料透露“桃駁李”有另一個中文名字，叫作“油桃”。而“油桃”的英文名稱，原來是Nectarine而不是Netcanne。再找找，原來英文維基有nectarine的條文：

再核對一下其他的英文資料，內容都相當配合，才弄清楚”桃駁李”是什麼的一回事。

英文維基原文如下：

Nectarine is a cultivar group of peach that has a smooth, fuzzless skin. Though fuzzy peaches and nectarines are commercially regarded as different fruits, with nectarines often erroneously believed to be a crossbreed between peaches and plums, or a "peach with a plum skin", they belong to the same species as peaches. Several genetic studies have concluded in fact that nectarines are created due to a recessive gene, whereas a fuzzy peach skin is dominant. Nectarines have arisen many times from peach trees, often as bud sports.

Nectarines can be white or yellow, and clingstone or freestone, although nectarine skins are generally more reddish than those of peaches, contributing to the fruit's plum-like appearance. Regular peach trees occasionally produce a few nectarines, and vice versa. Their flesh is moister, sweeter, and more easily bruised than peaches.
