Tenses

Read the following first.
1. I wrote this aticle.
2. This article was written by me.
From the two sentences above, I changed the active voice to passive voice.
(The word wrote was changed to was written.)
However, if we finish writing an article, we may also write Written by.
So why do we need to use written in that case? Can we use was written or wrote instead?
Please explain in detail and in English.

If you finish writing an article, surely you can use written instead of write or wrote in your sentence. The sentence will be probably like ' I have written this article'.

However, you will not use written by, like ' I have written by this article'. If you use by after a verb, the meaning of the sentence will be probably changed from active to passive.

In the using of passive voice, we always changed the verb to a more past action, i.e. present -> past, past-> past participle, like write->wrote, wrote->written.

because you have wrote this aticle before but no anymore, that's mean is finished so (was written)(past perfect)= you did it before and not doing it anymore+ NO TIME.

wrote could mean u wrote this aticle yesterday ........(past) always have a time(yesterday) when you use it.

Should use 'Written by' in this case because what we concerned at that particular moment is the writer not the article. So this could emphasize the main subject (that's 'me' in this case).

Shadow.
