differences between fossil fuels and liquid fuels

fossil fuel is a source of fuel. it was created through the fossils of living organisms (e.g. animals, trees, etc)

liquid fuel is a state (e.g. solid, liquid and gas) of any fuel.

so coal is a solid fossil fuel
crude oil is a liquid fossil fuel
natural gas is a gaseous fossil fuel
