' 請稍移玉步' 的英文是甚麼？

「請移玉步」是禮貌語, 多見於公眾場合的告示或廣播, 英文可以用 proceed 一字。Proceed 是 ‘to advance, to move forward, to move in a particular direction 前往’ (Longman Dict. of Contemporary English)。
例如告示上寫著：今晚的研討會已改至音樂廳舉行, 參與者請移玉步到五樓, 英文可寫為 Tonight's forum has been rearranged to take place at the concert hall. Participants please proceed to the 5th Floor。
另一個經常在機場聽到的廣播也涉及proceed一字, 例如 Passengers for London-bound flight no. 209 should now proceed to gate no. 6, 即 ‘乘坐206班機到倫敦的乘客請前往6號閘登機’； 說得更formal (正式、禮貌)一點, ‘前往’ 就是「請移玉步」, 不過機場廣播都不說「請移玉步」罷。
其實, 不用 proceed 還可用更簡單的 go 或 move。 Tonight's forum has been rearranged to take place at the concert hall. Participants please go/move to the 5th Floor。
未遇過在「請移玉步」中加上 ‘稍’字, 如果真要這樣, 可以是 please proceed for a short distance 或 please move on a bit (雖然照字面譯, ‘稍’ 是 a bit, 但實際使用時未必合適, 例如上面兩個例句用 a bit 的話意思是有些怪, 不會用的。
