關於help字的問題

help可作及物動詞與不及物動詞用
作為不及物動詞用時，多與with連用，如：
My dad said he would help with the costs of (= give part of the cost of) buying a house.

而help最常用的都是作為及物動詞：
作為及物動詞的help，有幾種的用法：
１．(help + Object)
２．（help+ Object + (to)+infinitive)：　to可以刪除
３．can't help + v-ing：意思是忍不住
４．help + （to） +infinitve：但這個意思是：作為原因，如：
The drought has helped (to) make this a disastrous year for Somalia.（旱災使這年在索馬利成為災年）
can help saving our money：其實可使作第１種的用法，而saving our money是動名詞，作為object.
其實這句可重寫為：In fact, the free distribution of tabloids can help us save money and....
