Question about Harry Potter (I didn't read the whole collection yet).
Just wanna ask why Snape isn't given the job of teaching Defense Against Dark Art thought the whole time? Any reason given in the book?
And is Ron actually good at anything (eg: any subject in particular)? He's one of my fav but seems to be a loser sometimes.

in book 7, you will find Snape has been loyal to Dumbledore before harry was born. so Dumbledore really trust him, but he might afraid Snape becomes bad when he got the job.Ron is really good at wizard chess and he helped harry to win the chess game in first year, so he can find the philosopher's stone.
i just guess the answer for the question related to snape, but hope it helps.
